PIRELLI MX2

Penrite ProMX Championship, presented by AMX Superstores

WHAT IS MX2?

The Pirelli MX2 class is the official transition into the professional classes in the ProMX Championship and allows riders at 15 years old to compete on 122cc to 150cc 2-Stroke & 200cc to 250cc 4-Stroke machines.

Although the smaller bore class to Thor MX1, the Pirelli MX2 category often provides the most exhilarating racing of the series with young professional riders making their debut eager to impress the manufacturers and forge their futures in the sport.

Recent graduates of this class that have gone on to have international success in 2020 in the MXGP series are former Pirelli MX2 champions Jed Beaton and Wilson Todd, along with Nathan Crawford and Bailey Malkiewicz also debuting on the international stage.
