KTM Racing Team confirm line-up for 2025

KTM Racing Team will expand to four riders for the 2025 Penrite ProMX Championship presented by AMX Superstores, with a formidable line-up that aims to be a consistent challenger across the category.

With an even balance of experience in the form of Nathan Crawford and the returning Kirk Gibbs in MX1, and youthful energy via Noah Ferguson and Byron Dennis in Pirelli MX2, the squad is primed and ready to make a statement in this year’s title.

For Crawford, his return to KTM for a fourth season is a testament to his status as a frontrunner in the premier class, capped by a stellar performance in 2024 where he secured third in the championship, and he’s keen to do it all again.

“The 2024 season was a turning point for me, and now I’m ready to give it everything to chase that championship,” he said. “The support from KTM is second to none, and I’m excited to put it all on the line this season.”

With the 2025 season marking 10 years since he won the MX1 title, Gibbs returns to the KTM fold following a single season with GasGas, with KTM Group electing not to run a GasGas factory team this year, paving the way for both he and Dennis to shift across to the expanded powerhouse factory outfit. Following a fourth-place finish in 2024, the 35-year old is known for his consistency and ‘never give in’ attitude, and returns with renewed vigour in 2025 and reinforce to the industry why he remains a force to be reckoned with.

“I’m thrilled to be back with KTM – it feels like coming home,” Gibbs said. “This team has an incredible drive to win, and I’m ready to bring everything I’ve got to the track.”

Previously a member of the KTM Group by racing for GasGas in 2023, Ferguson returns to KTM following a single season for Honda in 2024 where he finished fourth in Pirelli MX2. A direct replacement in the line-up for Kayden Minear, who will compete in the USA this year, Ferguson’s objectives for 2025 will be to convert moto victories into another championship charge, with his growth and determination enabling him to again be a formidable contender.

“I’m excited to return to KTM and take my racing to the next level,” he said. “With the team’s backing, I’m ready to fight for wins every round.”

Maxxis MX3 champion of 2023, Byron Dennis had a challenging season where development was a key focus, but he will have a second crack at Pirelli MX2 in 2025 where he will be out to recapture his championship-winning form of previous years.

“Last season was a learning curve, but it’s only made me more motivated,” Dennis explained. “I’m ready to show what I’m capable of with KTM behind me.”

Meanwhile, Jackson Fuller will continue in Maxxis MX3 in the KTM Junior Racing Team, following a highly successful year in 2024 where he won the 125cc 15 Years class as part of the KTM Australian Junior Motocross Championship in Bunbury. Fuller’s success in Western Australia underlines KTM’s commitment to the Penrite ProMX Championship and fostering young talent in Australian racing.

“KTM is committed to helping riders reach their full potential, and our 2025 line-up reflects that – a perfect balance of experience and emerging talent,” said KTM Group Motorsport Manager, Kyle Blunden. “The entire team embodies what it means to be ready to race.

“From our MX1 leaders Nathan and Kirk to the exciting MX2 duo of Noah and Byron, and Jackson’s bright future in MX3, we’re ready to tackle the 2025 season.”

The opening round of the 2025 Penrite ProMX Championship presented by AMX Superstores will be held at Wonthaggi on March 22-23.
