Nowra joins the ProMX calendar in 2025
The Penrite ProMX Championship presented by AMX Superstores (ProMX) will take on new pastures in 2025 with round six to be held in Nowra (NSW) on Sunday, July 6.
The one-day round will be held on the 1.7km motocross track within the massive 1000-acre Nowra Motoplex expanse, which also includes over 20km of bush trails.
The motocross track has a sandy loam surface which is professionally maintained and groomed and, with large jumps, long straights and a combination of fast and slow corners, there’s something for all tastes.
However, the track requires maximum focus to produce consistently fast laps – and one where it’s easy to lose time but hard to make it up.
It’s a captivating recipe for a huge and intriguing mid-season round as the Nowra Motoplex marks its return to national-level motocross for the first time since 2017 when multiple Aussie champion Dean Ferris was the overall winner in MX1 ahead of Brett Metcalfe and Kirk Gibbs.
The round will be run by the Nowra and Districts Motorcycle Club, with Nowra Motoplex located in Braidwood Road, Yerriyong – just across the road from the HMAS Albatross Naval Base.
The balance of the 2025 ProMX Championship calendar will be announced early next week, as well as the composition of classes at each round.

“It’s great to see Nowra on the 2025 calendar as we welcome new tracks into the ProMX fold,” said Motorcycling Australia CEO, Peter Doyle.
“With the return of Appin already announced, two rounds of the 2025 ProMX will be held in New South Wales on tracks that we know will showcase the incredibly huge depth of talent across all classes in the championship.
“Thanks to the Nowra and Districts Motorcycle Club for its assistance in bringing ProMX back to the Nowra district, where motocross has always enjoyed a strong presence.”
