Tickets on sale for opening round of ProMX Championship at Wonthaggi
Tickets to the highly anticipated opening round of the 2025 Penrite ProMX Championship presented by AMX Superstores in Wonthaggi on March 22-23 have gone on sale.
This year’s round will bring high-octane action to the Gippsland region, with the Victorian Government and Bass Coast Shire Council-supported event to be held over two days for the first time in the track’s five-year reign as the season opener.
The event will feature the MX1, Pirelli MX2, Maxxis MX3, Fox Racing MX85 and Ezilift MXW ProMX classes, as well as the FIM Oceania Women’s Motocross Cup for the first time in Australia.

Team Australia selected for 2025 FIM Oceania Women’s Motocross Cup
Honda riders Kyle Webster (Vic), Brodie Connolly (Vic) and Charli Cannon (Qld) will begin their title defences in the MX1, Pirelli MX2 and Ezilift MXW classes respectively, while 2024 Maxxis MX3 runner-up Koby Hantis (NSW, Yamaha) is looking to fill the void left by departing champion Jake Cannon.
Webster’s rivals in the MX1 class will include 2024 adversary Jed Beaton (Vic, Yamaha), Luke Clout (NSW, Kawasaki), Nathan Crawford (Qld, KTM) and rookie Jack Simpson (Vic, Triumph).
All tickets include free entry into the pit paddock, where spectators can immerse themselves in the buzz and excitement of a ProMX round, such as grabbing a photo from their favourite rider or a bargain at Trade Alley.
Wonthaggi has not only become one of the marquee rounds of the ProMX Championship, but its picturesque surrounds and wide-ranging hospitality throughout the region make it highly attractive for visitors from Melbourne, interstate and international. Visitors from the USA, Africa and New Zealand will descend on the region as part of the FIM Oceania Women’s Motocross Cup.
