The 2021 Penrite ProMX Championship presented by AMX Superstores, will kick off its inaugural season in Wonthaggi Victoria, on April 11, with the strong support of the Bass Coast Council. 

Hundreds of riders and team personnel along with thousands of passionate race fans will flock to the coastal town of Wonthaggi for the highly anticipated Penrite ProMX Championship, presented by AMX Superstores (ProMX) season opener for an explosive day of on track action.

Wonthaggi is set to kick off a new chapter in Australian Motocross with the ProMX launching a significant TV package for the off-road world. Combined with the high level of anticipation, with competitors and race fans keen to get trackside after a 12-month hiatus, the ProMX season opener is sure to have a positive economic impact on the town and the region.

Bass Coast Shire Mayor, Cr Brett Tessari, said: “On behalf of Council and our community, I am thrilled to welcome the ProMX series to Wonthaggi. This national racing platform will offer our region a significant economic boost and fantastic exposure via an excellent TV package, along with national radio and media coverage.”

“We encourage all teams, competitors and fans to travel to Wonthaggi a day early or stay a day after the event to enjoy everything our fabulous coastline and community has to offer. We wish the very best of luck to the riders chasing their professional racing dreams on April 11th.”
