Fox Racing will continue as naming rights sponsor of the MX85 Cup for the 2026 Penrite ProMX Championship presented by AMX Superstores, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to developing Australia’s next generation of motocross talent.

The Fox Racing MX85 Cup was introduced in 2023 to serve as a Team Australia qualification process for the FIM Junior Motocross World Championship, replicating the same structure and format riders will encounter at the international showpiece.

Fox Racing is a global leader in motocross products, delivering world‑class apparel, safety, and protective gear, complemented by its class‑leading ranges across lifestyle and mountain bike categories.

The 2026 Fox Racing MX85 Cup will be held at three rounds of the ProMX Championship:

  • Round 1: March 21-22, Wonthaggi, Vic
  • Round 2: April 19, Canberra, ACT
  • Round 3: May 24, Toowoomba, Qld

The category is open to all riders in the 12-U16 age bracket riding two-stroke 85cc Big Wheel machines. Riders who meet the FIM age requirements (currently 12-14 years) will also be eligible for Team Australia selection in the 2026 FIM Junior Motocross World Championship in the Czech Republic on July 5-6.

Motorcycling Australia CEO, Peter Doyle, emphasised the importance of dedicated junior categories in strengthening Australia’s pathway to international competition.

“Establishing the Fox Racing MX85 Cup as the official qualification process for the FIM Junior Motocross World Championship gives our young riders a clear understanding of what’s required at the international level,” he said.

“The format mirrors exactly what they’ll face when representing Australia, removing any uncertainty and allowing them to focus purely on performance. Having Fox Racing continue as naming rights partner reinforces the professionalism of this pathway.”

Nick Van der Linden, General Manager of Fox Racing Australia, highlighted the brand’s long-standing commitment to grassroots motocross development.

“Supporting the MX85 Cup aligns with our long‑term strategy of strengthening the motocross talent pathway in Australia. Fox Racing is committed to investing in the sport’s future, and this category plays an essential role in developing riders who aspire to compete on the world stage.”

“We’re proud to back the next generation as they take these important early steps.”
