The third squad to feature on the starting gates for the 2025 FIM Oceania Women’s Motocross Cup in Wonthaggi on March 22-23 has been announced, with New Zealand’s five-rider team to be led by 16-year-old wiz Karaitiana Horne.

Horne will be joined Aime Roberts, Olivia Bodle, Mikayla Griffiths and Milla Dahlenberg for Team New Zealand – a potent combination of experience and emerging talent.

Horne impressed in the 2024 EZILIFT MXW campaign to finish seventh overall, and later in the year she also won the 100-150cc two-stroke/200-250cc four-stroke 13-U16 girls’ class in the KTM Australian Junior Motocross Championship.

A former competitor in the Penrite ProMX Championship, Aime Roberts returns to motocross racing following an ACL injury and becoming a first-time mum. Roberts finished third at the recent New Zealand Motocross Grand Prix in the senior women’s class.

Bodle enjoyed a great season in both junior and senior women’s classes in 2024, finishing eighth at the New Zealand Junior Championship and winning the Taupo 2024 Series, while Griffiths has started the 2025 season where she left off in 2024 by finishing second in the junior and senior women’s classes at the New Zealand Motocross Grand Prix.

Likewise, Dahlenberg is also a key pillar to the line-up by finishing fifth overall at the New Zealand Motocross Grand Prix, her first in the senior women’s class.

“We are pleased to carry on from 2024 with the inaugural FIM Oceania Women’s Cup held at Woodville,” said Team Manager Ray Broad.

“This year, FIM Africa and America are also sending teams, so we know the interest and competition is growing. The team is a blend of experience and youth, giving New Zealand-based female riders the opportunity to race internationally, gain experience and compete against some of the world’s top riders.

“The team will be going all out to do New Zealand proud.”

The 2025 FIM Oceania Women’s Motocross Cup will be held alongside round one of the 2025 Penrite ProMX Championship presented by AMX Superstores.
