Pirelli to continue as MX2 naming rights partner for 2026 ProMX Championship
Pirelli will again serve as the naming rights partner of the MX2 class when the 2026 Penrite ProMX Championship presented by AMX Superstores gets underway in March.
The Italian tyre manufacturer’s ongoing partnership, facilitated through Australian distributor Link International, maintains its presence across one of the championship’s most competitive divisions. The Pirelli MX2 class continues as a critical proving ground for emerging talent progressing toward the premier Kawasaki MX1 category.
Pirelli’s continued investment in the MX2 class ensures riders compete on high-performance tyres developed specifically for the demanding conditions of Australian motocross tracks.
Brenden Stoeckert, General Manager of Link International:
“Pirelli has a long history in motocross, and the MX2 class is the perfect fit for us. These riders are pushing hard, developing their skills, and the racing is consistently tight. Being involved at this level puts Pirelli in front of the next generation of professionals and the fans who follow them. We’re happy to be back on board for 2026 and look forward to another season of strong competition.”
Peter Doyle, CEO of Motorcycling Australia:
“Pirelli’s continued support as MX2 naming rights partner signals confidence in the direction of the ProMX Championship. The MX2 category consistently delivers close racing and is an essential part of the national motocross pathway. Having a global brand like Pirelli continue its support reinforces the strength of the series and provides valuable exposure for both the sport and the sponsor.”
