Team Australia rider applications for 2026 FIM Junior Motocross World Championship now open

Applications are now open for riders who’d like to compete for Team Australia at the 2026 FIM Junior Motocross World Championship (WJMX), which will be held in Jinlin, Czech Republic from July 3-5.

The championship will again be held over three classes: 65cc, 85cc and 125cc.

Age eligibility of riders
Based on FIM regulations, licenses for riders are issued for WJMX only when the minimum age has been attained as below:

  • 65cc class: 10 years
  • 85cc class: 12 years
  • 125cc class: 13 years

The limit for the minimum age starts on the date of the rider’s birthday.

The maximum age is the following:

  • 65cc class: 12 years
  • 85cc class: 14 years
  • 125cc class: 17 years

The limit for the maximum age finishes at the end of the calendar year in which the rider reaches the age of 12 (65cc class), 14 (85cc class) and 17 years (125cc class).

The time away from home will be approximately 10 days.

Applications to join Team Australia close on Monday May 4, 2026.
