Yamaha’s announced its 2026 Penrite ProMX Championship presented by AMX Superstores (ProMX) plans, which includes a new MX2 roster – Souya Nakajima and Noah Ferguson – and the signature of American Lachlan Turner in the Ezilift MXW class.

All three will ride under the Monster Energy Yamalube Yamaha Racing banner, while Jed Beaton and Aaron Tanti will continue at Monster Energy CDR Yamaha in Kawasaki MX1.

The Monster Energy WBR Yamaha team will field Jack Deveson and Hayden Draper in the Maxxis MX3 class, while Seth Burchell will have another crack at Pirelli MX2 in an all-new line-up.

Turner has signed a two-year deal to race on Australian shores, with mouth-watering battles expected against her good friend and four-time MXW champion Charli Cannon.

“It’s so cool that I will be able to race in Australia and the US for the next two seasons and promote women’s racing,” she said. “Thank you to Yamaha for putting this together for me and I’m pumped to get this chance.

“I already have a great relationship with the Monster Energy Yamalube Yamaha team from when I was here in March and then again when I was here at Supercross with my brother Lux.

“I know they will have everything ready for me, and I can’t wait to race in Australia again.”

Nakajima is no stranger to racing internationally having competed in the 2025 Motocross of Nations in the USA and was in Australia for the FIM Junior World Motocross Championship in 2018.

Having finished third overall last year in MX2 on a KTM, 23-year-old Ferguson comes into 2026 with a clear goal: to be a genuine contender for the crown.

“Over the last two years, I could see the investment and improvements the team has made both in themselves and the bike and I knew it was the place I wanted to be,” he said. “There is a lot of knowledge and experience within the team, and I think their guidance is exactly what I need.

An inaugural factory ride for Deveson has been earned with his gritty performance in motocross and his head-turning skills in supercross, while 16-year-old New Zealand-based Draper made an immediate impression when he did the final couple of rounds of ProMX in 2025 and then demonstrated further improvement when contesting the Australian Junior Motocross Championship. He’s currently contesting the MX2 Championship in New Zealand.

Burchell, who joins the team for his second crack in the MX2 class having finished eighth overall in 2025. He has made several changes to ensure he can be as prepared as possible in a bid to be a serious contender.

Beaton and Tanti were previously confirmed on multi-year deals at Monster Energy CDR Yamaha.

The duo head into 2026 following injury-interrupted campaigns last year; Beaton fracturing his foot during training ahead of the penultimate round in July, while Tanti broke his neck before the season even got underway.

The GYTR Yamaha Junior Racing squad will grow from 11 to 13 riders in 2026 with Archie Blancette and Ollie Thredgold joining Lachlan Allen, Jobe Dunne, Heath Davy, Deegan Fort, Blake Bohannon, Eliza Dennis, Kye Sproule, Stella Harding and Hudson Francis to contest the full ProMX Championship.

Other Yamaha-supported riders undertaking this year’s championship across varying classes include the likes of Regan Duffy and Sonny Pellicano who will compete in MX1, Koby Hantis and Ky Woods who will graduate to MX2, and Madi Simpson who returns for another MXW campaign.

The opening round of the 2026 ProMX Championship will be held in Wonthaggi on March 21-22.
